 JESUSSEAN Gerobiese scored the lone goal in USC's 1-0 win over Ateneo in Group A of the Girls 17 division.  If the
competition will use the crossover semifinals format (I'm so out of touch, I don't know whether they do), USC will face
San Roque FC in the semifinals, while Ateneo will take on Group B no. 1 St. Theresa's College, which also won
all its games and scored 14 goals without conceding any.

The failed U23 experiment

THE only positive thing that we can take in that loss against Timor Leste was that the U23 squad looked good in blue. And Ebong, too. The Blue-Haired fanatic whose voice we all heard on TV was fantastic. The team? The result? To be perfectly blunt it was a scrappy game from a scrappy team that seemed to treat the SEAG as a vacation, or a chance to gain more Twitter followers. (Yey, I can tweet the team apology first!) Going into the match, almost every fan who paid attention knew that we needed to win. Unfortunately, it seemed the players were operating on a different mindset.

CebuFA verdict out Friday

THE Cebu Football Association is set to issue its verdict this Friday on the University of Cebu and Don Bosco Youth Center. UC 'walked out' of its final game against the University of San Jose-Recoletos in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc, a CebuFA sanctioned event, while DBTC has forfeited its last two matches in the Aboitiz U 15. Will there be a suspension, fine or ban for the erring coaches? CebuFA has promised to fax its statement to the media outlets this Friday, so wait for the story on Saturday, or you can check this site, Friday night. That is if, I am sober.
