Aboitiz Cup week 2 results


(I guess I'll just do my own match reports for the Aboitiz Cup matches.  Future reports will have more details--standings, qoutes--etc. once I get the data.  ML)
FORMER national team training pool member Oliver Colina, the current Little Azkals head coach, led Leylam to a 5-0 rout of Convergys B in the Inter BPO category of the Aboitiz Cup over the weekend.

Colina, who also handles Giuseppe, scored in the 28th minute to make it 3-0 after early goals by Edmar Galacio and Cem Casci in the first 15 minutes.


And before Convergys B could react, Martin Ferrer and Virgilio Manayo had back to back goals in three minutes for a 5-0 half-time lead.

Sister team Convergys A had a better showing and won against  didn't have much luck against Timex LS, 4-0, Rei Panila  and Glenn Monteclaros hitting two inside eight minutes.  Antonio Yap got the third goal in the 25th before James Thondas Tundag scored in the 36th. (Note, data from CFA had Timex winning, 4-0, so you better double check your standings with them.)

Lear FC and Erich Rafael Cons had an even contest, 1-1, with former Southwestern University star Archival Commendador striking first for Erich in the 11th.  Joseph Arquiza got the equalizer for Lear 14 minutes later.

Adrianne Mejaran also had a first-minute goal as Innodata blanked San Miguel United, 2-0.  Darwin Bordalba got the other goal in the 27th.

NCR also scored a 4-0 rout of Wipro, with Eugene Ynclino, Ray Llesol, Limhar Baunsit and Rene Borromeo scoring in the first 36 minutes.

On the other hand, Accenture beat Author Solution, 2-0, thanks to an own goal by Lloyd Noub in the 30th and a 35th-minute strike by Ronald Pareja.  Unitch also beat Springdale, 2-0, with Alwyn Piandong and Ruelan Soquilo (Soquib?) scoring in the seventh and 16th minute, respectively, while Stream played Timex-BP to a  scoreless draw.

In the men's open, Adrianne Mejaran, who's also playing for USJ-R Alumni capped a 3-0 win over B-Meg Camellanz.  Mejaran scored in the 37th after Jason Calunsa and Marjun Capol struck in the first 20 minutes for the easy win.

It was a more competitive game between Erco FC and Atletico Cebu, with Erco winning, 3-2.  Jesie Roy gave Erco the lead in the 12th, before Tom Booth equalized four minutes after half time.  Neri Mole Jr got the lead back in the 56th and Raymund Torres got the insurance goal in the 78th.  Booth got  his second four minutes into injury time for the final count.

Meanwhile, Erick Duan's 26th-minute strike for the University of the Visayas sealed a 1-0 win over PhilSCA, while the University of Southern Philippines Foundation and the University of San Carlos played to a 1-1 draw.  Based on the results e-mailed by the CFA, Ricaplaza and Paglinawan both scored in the 70th minute.

Boss, Check again your data.. Convergys A Won! those Players you mentioned are Convergys players. And Correction for the names that you mention. That is Pahila, Rei and James Tundag.
