Caligdong says hew will stay with PAF

(This report came out on Sun.Star Cebu on Oct. 20)
ONE OF the country’s leading goal scorer Emilio “Chieffy” Caligdong will remain with the Philippine Air Force despite ongoing negotiations with another club who plans to sign him.

This was after the Philippine Air Force gave him the option to be honorably dismissed from service as a response to the demand of other clubs to hire high-skilled players to boost teams in the United Football League.

“Sa ngayon napagdesisyonan ko muna na manatali sa team kasi sayang naman nasa service na ako tapos bigla lang aalis. Pinaghirapan ko rin naman ito,” said Caligdong.

He was offered to play for a UFL team, which he did not name, before the World Cup Qualifiers against Sri Lanka and Kuwait.

Caligdong has been a sergeant for nine years and said he owes the PAF who had supported his career.

“Malaki talaga utang na loob ko sa kanila,” Caligdong said.

Nope, Queen City didn't make an offer. I think the offer was made pre Kuwait game, so that was before Queen City decided to join UFL Cup
