PFF snubs CFA, puts CAFC in charge of RP U14

From Sun.Star Cebu

INSTEAD of handing the Cebu Football Association (CFA) the duty of handling the training camp of the RP National Boys Under-14 squad, the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) has given the responsibility to the Cebu Amateur Football Club (CAFC).

Usually the PFF gives the assignment of supervising training camps to CFA FA, the sport’s local governing body, but PPF chose CAFC because of the club’s capability to finance it.

“CAFC has the capability to sponsor the training camp. PFF talked to us, they were the one who came to us,” former CAFC president and RP National Boys Under-14 assistant manager Raffy Musni said in an interview with Sun.Star Cebu yesterday.

The club, with the help of Don Bosco Liloan rector Fr. Jhun Paradiang, is paying for all the expenses of the RP National Boys Under-14 team.

The training camp started last April 18 at the Don Bosco Liloan campus, wherein all the best Under-14 football players from around the country are currently encamped.

The RP National Boys Under-14 squad is undergoing rigid training under the watchful eyes of head coach Oliver Colina and assistant coaches Dennis PeƱalosa and Allan Medalla, who are both from CAFC.
