Springdale routs Guiseppe

PAREF-Springdale took the solo lead in Group A of the Boys 17 division as they clinched their third victory in the 12th Aboitiz Football Cup with a lopsided win over Guiseppe yesterday at the Aboitiz Sports field.
Paref-Springdale trampled Guiseppe, 21-0, and remained undefeated in the tournament.
Forward Bran Go was the man of the match as he logged six goals for Paref-Springdale, while Mikel Alazas, Bernard Montayre and Jon Young played the supporting cast for their ace scorer as they added three goals each.
So lopsided was the action that Joshua Cruz, who usually plays as the goal keeper, had two goals.
Martin Mendoza, Shawn Haosen, Gabriel Rodriguez and Cedric Ang also added a goal each.
With the win, Paref-Sprindale now has six points from two victories, while Guiseppe was handed its third straight lopsided loss in the competition.
The other week, Guissepe also suffered a blowout loss to Cebu International School, 19-0, and also dropped a 15-0 loss to Don Bosco College in its debut.
On the other hand, San Roque FC–Arsenal routed Hiroshi FC, 2-0, in the 38-and-above category for its fifth straight win.
Ariel Esfarcia scored the opening goal in the 62nd minute while Eric Colina struck 10 minutes after.
Men’s leader
SRFC Arsenal kept its commanding lead in the 38-and-above class as it now has 15 points from five victories, while second-seeded Hiroshi FC suffered its second defeat and is stuck at six points.
In other games, Don Bosco Magone crushed Xantos FC, 4-0, in the Mens Cup while Carsheinians drew with Melborne, 0-0, in the Girls 17 class.
Don Bosco Magone has six points and now leads the Mens Cup category, while Xantos FC, which has three points, suffered its first defeat.
In last Saturday’s results, Melborne defeated Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepcion– Mandaue, 3-0, while Guiseppe dumped Carsheinians, 8-0, in the Girls 17 category.
In the Boys 12 category, Cebu International School overpowered Guiseppe, 14-0, while Paref-Springdale won against Don Bosco Boys Home, 3-0.
SRFC also drew with Paref-Springdale in the Players 10 division.
