Pinoysoccer.com dumps Lapu-Lapu, 20-0
POWERHOUSE Pinoysoccer.com flexed its muscle early and dumped FC Inter Lapu-Lapu, 20-0, in the first day of the 8th Cebu Inter club Mens Open at the University of San Carlos Technological Center field yesterday.
With eight of its players named to the Cebu All-Stars, which lost 0-6 to the RP national team last Sunday, Pinoysoccer.com could have showed up minus a keeper, a defender or two to make yesterdays game against Inter Lapu-Lapu more interesting.
Instead, the team, led by Oliver Colina, Eleazar Toledo, Lemar Baunsit and Kim Relucio among others, only needed 10 minutes to open the floodgates.
Baunsit got the first of his 11 goals in the 10th before Eleazer Toledo added another two minutes later.
After an eight-minute respite, the Inter Lapu-Lapu keeer picked the ball off his goal some six more times before the half endedfive courtesy of Baunsit.
It seemed it was just a practice game for Pinoysoccer.com, said a coach who watched from the sidelines.
In the second half, it was the same story, Baunsit found the back of the net six more times, while Iry Genson and Robert Nicart also scored twice.
Today, Pinoysoccer.com will face its real test when it tangles with the visiting Seagulls of Davao in the first game today.
Meanwhile, Team Cebu City also got its first win against Nasipit, 9-2, while the San Roque Royal United drew College United, 1-1 on goals by Edilio Ybañez (SRRU) and Kyle Soriano.
College United is the combined team of the University of San Carlos, University of Cebu and University of Southern Philippines.
SRRU will gun for its first win against Nasipit, while College United willf ace Queen City in the final game today. FC Inter Cebu, which played the Davao Seagulls at press time yesterday, while face Dipolog.
---------some notes--------
No schedule available and the way the match officials handled the results, leaves a lot of room for improvement. Whatever anyone had against the previous FA officials, there is no question that the previous admin knows how to handle the results. They got complete forms, not just some piece of torn paper the size of a cellphone where the referee scribble the results. CAFC should have hired Sherwin, he knows how to handle these things.
