Another year
It's another year and it's been quite a ride. Happy feet and all. Though Eragon should have gone back to the storyboard for a massive overhaul, Peter vs. Sylar should have been played out more.
And if you know what I am talking about, then you are either me or you are "part of my house."
I'm a year older (rather, a year and a day older).
Click. Click. Go to your favorite joint, coffee house (just not the one where coffee is served by cold-blooded...) girlie joint, pizza house, theater or what-have-you. And your first slice, drink, glass is on me. Go charge it to 1-800-DIAL-A-BALDIE.
I could harp about the events I've seen or covered...but here are a few standouts of the previous 12 months.
After the Philippines bashed East Timor, 7-1, during Asean Championships Qualifiers, a rather ecstatic media person asked the RP coach during the post match press conference, "Does this mean we have a chance to win the World Cup?"
After a Philip Younghusband scored, a group of teenagers were screaming, but the goal was disallowed for offside and the "wiser" of the group said, "your not allowed to run from the side."
During the presentation of the record-breakers during the recent Palarong Pambansa, they were asked "So what medal did you win?"
As a follow up, personnel of the Department of Education were asked regarding the status of the record breakers, some of whom were elementary students, "So what is next for them? Will they represent the country in the Sea Games this year?"
And here is my favorite.
I asked the PFF regarding their plans for the centennial.
"We are finalizing it on the week after holy week."
Four weeks after holy week, I asked again and was told: "There are plans but nothing concrete, as we are trying to raise money for things to happen, will let you know as soon is anything is confirmed."
That was 17 days ago.
The first five months of the year the PFF turns 100 is about to pass and the PFF remains what is.
"What medal did you win again?"
