Result: 1-1 draw
Scorers:
21st min – Ken Kazuo Hager (Left Midfield, Fil-Swiss, Davao/Phils), 12 meter strike from left flank, deflected by an Australian defender, caught the Australian GK off-guard.
28th min – two (2) mins before game time, Christian de Juan (central defender, Filipino, Iloilo/Phils) commited a foul (sliding tackle) inside the penalty box. Australia converted the penalty kick.

Game format: 11-a-side, 30mins/game (no half-break)
Result: 1-0 in favor of Phils

20th min – Warren Rosillo (striker, Filipino, Cagayan de Oro/Phils) headed the ball off a corner kick from the right by Joaquin Melliza (right midfield, Filipino, Iloilo/Phils)

*Phil Team played a more attractive, cohesive play. Confidence were seen in the players’ faces and actions due to its good result vs the bigger, taller Australians (previous game)

Match #6: 03:10PM PHILIPPINES vs THAILAND
Game format: 11-a-side, 30mins/game (no half-break)
Result: 0-4 in favor of Thailand
Scorers:
8th min – Thailand. Joshua Cruz (GK, Filipino, Cebu/Phils) made a timely saved off a kick from a Thai striker but bounced-off his hand and was tapped-in by another Thai striker.
14th min – Thailand. A strike inside the goalie’s area. Phil defenders were caught off-guard.
16th min – Thailand. An attempt that was deflected by a Phil defender.
20th min – Thailand. A shot from the center, 9 meters.

Good work by Phil team. The tie against the Aussie team is an excellent accomplishment considering that they almost made it if not for the penalty shot. Our three boys from Cebu made it to the first eleven and its something we should be proud of. I think we should develop better defenders considering the way we lost to Thailand and the previous day's 3 losses. Usually the focus is on strikers and MF's only. Good defense wins many games too.
