Don Bosco wins Aboitiz 12 Under
IN the tough Aboitiz 12-Under Cup, Don Bosco College showed it is one of the top teams after a close 1-0 win over Hiroshi FC in the finals last weekend at the San Roque Parish football
Miguel Caindec scored the lone goal in the 41st minute to lift his team to its second title in three months. Don Bosco defeated Springdale to win the Milo Little Olympics football crown last September.
In their previous encounter, both finalists battled to a 1-1 draw, with DBC taking the early advantage after Winrich Baclay scored in the 3rd minute.
The title run also capped an impressive campaign by DBC, as it went unbeaten in all its matches and defeated an undermanned Cebu International School, 3-0, to set up the finals match.
Meanwhile, in the equally competitive Boys 15 division, Paref Springdale topped Group B after a 1-0 win over Hiroshi FC in its final game. The win sets up thrilling semifinal matches with Springdale taking on Group A runner-up DBC, while Hiroshi faces this tournament's surprise package - Blessed John XXIII seminary.
BJS is also undefeated and handed DBC its lone defeat, 1-0, in its last match.
"I can't really predict the outcome of the semis because DBC is a tough team, all the remaining teams are contenders," Ceniza said.
On the other hand, Ceniza also led Queen City United to a 19-0 walk-over FC Inter Lapu-Lapu in the Aboitiz Men's League Division B last Sunday, still at San Roque.
Marlon Rey Baring, Rene Menchavez and Adrian Caballero all scored four times in the division's most lopsided win so far.
Metropolitan FC also scored a 5-0 rout over Cebu State College of Science and Technology in the other game. Ramie Colina scored twice while Danilo Juesan, Edwin Bronda and Ronald Loayon had one goal each.

if springdale wins without ramos coaching don bosco, then it may well be a hollow victory for springdale, kay na-piangan man ang gud db (this opinion is not meant to take anything away from springdale, for me they are the best p15 team now, but nindot man gud nga mag-sangka gani, kanang full strenght dyud). but if he is eligible to coach then ang mga pangutan would be:
1. kanus-a man mo take effect ang iyang sanction.
2. does it apply only to him as UC coach and does not include him as don bosco coach.
a clarification from the CFA would be best several days before the game aron maka-prepare pud ang don bosco to play without their coach if ever dili siya maka-coach. it think that is a fair request.
